when I say yes please stay she says I want to go
and my journey can never be her journey
but can I show her a part of they?
in my heart is the truth, my truth
which gets lots on the way to my tongue

I can only sigh at the last connection

how to explain, accla, persuade her
that life is a journey of perils as well as joys
but no mother... i can onlly be
